![]() ![]() ![]() However it was my intention to convert to all digital. as a drummer this is probably a great score for you. If you’re into printing charts and don’t need standard notation I.e. I can see some potential but still needs work. Also if you want to space out your measures more you can not without a question mark being in there. You can’t save as you go so if you back out it won’t have the whole chart you just did. It’s definitely a start, but no notation available for drummers. My personal email is so you can contact me with issues or great musical stories! My name is Leland and I’m on the development team along with Chas. ![]() ![]() When you are about to play sport, do the washing up, or anything that involves variously vigorous motions you can hold down the band's button for three seconds to bring up “Start”. Nike has improved the accuracy of the accelerometer within the SE and introduced the ability to “tag” certain activities. The display also lights up when you hit one of your activity targets, as well as hourly activity reminders if you’ve been a bit lax – apparently you should move for at least five minutes every hour for which the FuelBand declares you have "won the hour" and giving you a virtual pat on the back. A quick double-press of the button instantly shows the time, which makes it relatively easy to use instead of a watch. Once up and running, you can press the button to cycle through your readout, including calories burnt, steps taken and your Fuel activity rating. That could be to do with the locked-down nature of the machine, as it worked fine on another computer, but it would be nice to have the option of setting up the FuelBand via the smartphone app rather than having to rely on a computer. ![]() It is worth noting that the setup procedure is browser-based, and that I had issues on one computer getting the Nike site to respond properly. Initial setup needs to be done via computer using the integrated USB connector, which charges the band in the process. You simply wear it on your designated wrist all the time and let it do its thing. Using the Nike+ FuelBand SE is pretty straightforward after the initial setup. Nike+ FuelBand SE review – a bright and colourful LED display hides under the matt black rubber. The display cycles through the time, your activity and notifies you of any goals you may have hit. The top of the device hides a dot-matrix LED display next to a solid rubber button. Each band comes with two different link spacers too, providing a better fit by enlarging the band. To adjust for different sizes of wrist, the FuelBand SE is available in three sizes – small, medium/large and extra large. It's something you can probably get used to eventually, and wouldn't be an issue if you weren't a desk dweller. If you happen to be a computer user, for instance, the band’s metal buckle rests on the desk as you type forming a hard lump under your wrist. The rigid oval nature of the band means it can’t flex when resting on something hard, making it uncomfortable to wear at times. Unlike most watches that may be chunky on top of your wrist, the FuelBand’s all-round thickness is not something that can be ignored. The band, while narrow and only about the width of an index finger on your wrist, is quite thick. The FuelBand SE is a thick, semi-rigid rubberised plastic band with a locking buckle in the middle that integrates a full-size USB connector for charging and syncing. ![]() The basic design of the FuelBand SE remains unchanged from the previous generation Nike FuelBand, just with some optional brightly coloured inlays to complement the matt black band. Nike+ FuelBand SE review - positive encouragement is the FuelBand's secret. ![]() ![]() ![]() It would be like book Ginny being the same as movie Ginny in Harry Potter. I’m just so excited! I can’t wait to start reading this one. I cannot even express how exciting this is. The story that was just hinted at with snippets throughout Fangirl, we’re finally getting Carry On y’all. It has just as much kissing and talking as you’d expect from a Rainbow Rowell story - but far, far more monsters.” When you’re the most powerful magician the world has ever known, you never get to relax and savor anything.Ĭarry On is a ghost story, a love story, a mystery and a melodrama. And actual evil things trying to shut Simon down. Simon can’t even enjoy the fact that his roommate and longtime nemesis is missing, because he can’t stop worrying about the evil git. His girlfriend broke up with him, his best friend is a pest, and his mentor keeps trying to hide him away in the mountains where maybe he’ll be safe. Simon Snow just wants to relax and savor his last year at the Watford School of Magicks, but no one will let him. My list, my choices, my own reflections. All images were made by me on Canva. The background image was taken from PSDgraphics.“Rainbow Rowell continues to break boundaries with Carry On, an epic fantasy following the triumphs and heartaches of Simon and Baz from her beloved bestseller Fangirl. Hell week approaching at the speed of light! See you soon on my next post! What quote did you like the most? The quotes on The Ultimate Bookish Quotes were selected by me as to what were my favorites or what I thought were the best quotes in the book. Love lots (and gotta go, my upcoming quizzes and exams are piling up!). Gel’s little side note: THANK YOU FOR READING THIS AND I HOPE YOU LIKE THE QUOTES I PICKED. I better not think about it and SERIOUSLY hope for the best. Like when I woke up this morning, I remembered my Math 11 exam yesterday (and how I fabulously fucked it up). I could always imagine scenarios that would never happen – or worse: worst case scenarios. But of course, sometimes, I just can’t help it. Gel’s reflections:I really don’t want to dwell thinking about impossible/improbable things. ![]() On the book:Baz told Simon that he makes lists of things not to think about. Think about it.” (Rainbow Rowell, 2016, 355) “It hurts to think about things that you can’t have or help. I take promises seriously (would I be that vulnerable because of how I view promises in a high regard?), so I want people around me to be careful with their words. If I ever caught you not being true to your word, then to me, you are “no good”.Įspecially those fake promises. Gel’s reflections:I fucking hate dishonesty. On the book:Simon quoted Penny in his head – and remembered why she doesn’t like blood oaths and spells. “If you’re good as your word, words should be good enough.” (Rainbow Rowell, 2016, 281) Nope, I’ve never been in a break-up, but I believe this would be applicable. Gel’s reflections: Ever been in a break-up? Sometimes, it’s the memories that you miss the most – not the person. On the book:Simon spent his whole summer thinking about Watford, but his list of things in his head he miss the most about it – he wouldn’t allow himself to touch his thoughts until he was about one hour away from the school. The good things that’ll drive you mad with missing them.” (Rainbow Rowell, 2016, 11) “But, I still didn’t let myself dwell on any of the good things, you know? It’s You could first see my book review – but other than that… Let’s get down to the quotes! You too, all right?
